The place

A house, a pond and a waterfall

Charco means pond, pool, puddle. Corazón means heart. The name says almost everything; the water, the birds and the people of the house say the rest.

The house at dusk: warm lights glowing under the terrace eaves over the pond, among dark trees.

The pond

Lotus, koi and a blue deck

In front of the white house there's a pond of lotus flowers and koi, in the property's own words. The restaurant sits at the water's edge and a blue-railed deck steps out over the pond — for yoga, for sun, or just for looking.

The house's photos show fuchsia chairs on the deck and a walkway between water lilies.

The waterfall

The neighbour across the way

Cascada del Amor falls right across from the house, between rock, moss and banana plants. The house describes itself as “in front of Cascada del Amor and behind the Charco Corazón natural pool”, with views of the falls and mountains from the upper floor and the tubes, according to the property.

The garden

Flowers, bamboo and birds

Bougainvillea, geraniums on the railing, coffee and banana plants, and tall bamboo around the tubes. The house mentions over 200 bird species in the garden, from the emerald toucanet to the cock-of-the-rock; the motmot shows up too.

Yoga by an open wooden doorway: a teacher meditates facing a terrace of banana plants and mountains while a brown dog rests and two people lie on mats.

Several guests mention rescued dogs and cats living at the house; a very relaxed brown dog appears in the yoga photos.
